Participation of URED Douala to the
Alumni "Environmental Management" Seminar
and an alumni meeting
in Cameroon
from the 17th to the 21st of November 2008
in Hotel Franco

The scope of this seminar was to present the newest research and findings, as well as technical applications in the areas of water management, environmental studies and solar energy. Through this seminar the participant hope was to strenghten the interaction and cooperative work between the scientific community and industrial partners, and to promote the exchange between Cameroon, Germany and continental Africa.
The Seminar opened with introductions in the areas of waste and wastewater management. After the introductions, experts in the field presented research projects, case studies and field experiences during a small workshop. The workshop was planned to give the participants the opportunity to discuss these issues, exchange ideas and to work together with experts to design new strategies for practical application.
